Woof, it’s going to be hot today. If you’re looking to stay cool, Hermosa Beach is the place to be.
Spend a few hours frolicking in the sand and surf. When you get hungry, head into downtown and Pier Avenue for a snack or Sunday Jazz Brunch at the Lighthouse featuring the Charles Owen Big Band (11 a.m. to 3 p.m. $10 Cover).
You’ll definitely want to hit up the Hermosa Beach Summer Sidewalk Sale (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) for sales, specials and kid’s activities.
Afterward, head back to the beach for the Summer Concert Series featuring the music of Venice with special guet Atomic Walrus starting at 4:30.
