The Rotary Club of South Bay presents the annual, recently renamed, Ride with the Tide cycling event on Saturday, September 24.
This is a bike tour, not a bike race. It’s strictly for fun and it’s a rare opportunity to explore the South Bay from a two wheeled perspective.
There are three different rides for all levels – the Metric Century (62 miles), the Metric Half Century (31 miles) and the Metric Quarter Century (15.5 miles).
This year’s event promises to be larger than ever with more diverse routes through the South Bay. All three rides take advantage of the splendid coastal location incorporating the bike paths along the Strand and Esplanade.
Entry fees go to several charities supported by the South Bay Rotary Club. The entry fee includes a t-shirt, hat, refreshments, roving bike support and lunch.
The start and finish is located at the Torrance Beach parking lot located at Rat Beach on Paseo de la Playa.
The event will proceed rain or shine and helmets are required.
