The City of Hermosa Beach will commemorate the surf heritage of the South Bay with the induction of two legendary South Bay surfers, John McFarlane and Sparky Hudson.
Inducted surfers are acknowledged by the placement of their name engraved on bronze plaques embedded along the pier.
The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m.
Previous inductees include Hap Jacobs, Greg Noll, Dale Velzy, Dewey Weber, Mike Purpus, Body Glove Founders Bob and Bill Meistrell and pioneer surf photographer Leroy Grannis.
If you’re wondering about the dress code, it’s classic South Bay: Hawaiian shirts, board shorts, bikinis and flip-flops.
